yes
because it is a natural part of adult relationships
seriously, just wondering.
they (dubs) say that most of us are booted 'cause of that.
i personally was but only because i was already out mentally and in every other sense.

'jehovah's witnesses do not waste time and money by building large church edifices to invite people to such to hear them preach .
let god be true p.1924.
looks exactly like the hall built in Bristol, the colour scheme is awful
announced our circuit overseer last night in his talk about the urgency to preach because of the times.
followed by a silence that was broken with ohhhs and ahhhs.
he said that a couple of times throughout his part, simulating a beating heart with his fist.
millions now living will grow old and die
what a shock
so i've mentioned i'm engaged and may or may not have mentioned that i'm emigrating to the us from canada.
waiting in the immigration process, in a word, sucks.
add to that the we got shafted by a lawyer who didn't do what he was supposed to, so we lost 6 months of processing time not having our application in.
we are emigrating from the UK to Australia in August, it has taken over 2 years to get our visas!

is it the pedophile thing, ngo, generation change, blood issue?
what do you think it is?.
The net is obviously the biggest threat through the ease of access to information, but what information has the most potential to harm them?
If you had a friend who was considering being a JW and wanted to open their eyes then what would you direct them to?
I have a link to the original UN story from the Guardian Newspaper in the UK, can anyone think of anything else?
this in it's entirety from the watchtower may 15, 2005, page 31. you might find the reasoning a bit hollow.
questions from readers.
why were david and bath-sheba not put to death for committing adultery, whereas their newborn son died?.
I think this story just underlines what a crock of shit the bible is -
1) The kid's death was unjust - IF there were a god that went to all the trouble of creating us, would he really be so petulant, childish, egotistical and unjust as to kill an innocent child; it sort of goes against him being a 'god of justice doesn't it? and obviously contradicts other scriptures extolling gods virtues
2) The kid died of disease - surely if the death were as a punishment it would have been instant rather than from some drawn out illness. This just shows the superstitious nature of the old testiment and the rather pathetic attempts to explain natural phenomena and disasters via supernatural means
okay, i know this is personal, but i kind of like the annoninimity of the board versus asking my friends who are all also friends with my husband.. my husband went out of the country with a group from work this weekend.
i was supposed to go but had to cancel due to other stuff.
it turned out only 4 ended up going, my husband, a guy, and two women.
some guys are just a bit thoughtless and our thought processes work totally differently to womens anyway. I've been in similar situations before in the past and once or twice got 'found out' and invariably all hell has broken loose.
I'm glad you guys managed to talk it through, he will be more careful in future

there has been a number of discussions lately about not just accepting being shunned by family so i was thinking why not set aside a yearly day to get in touch with family...send a card, text, email to parents and siblings etc not saying anything controversial...just being nice..saying we miss them we love them and anytime they want to meet or write or visit they would be more than welcome..it other words dont treat them like they treat you..do you think that it is a good idea...if so reply here but also spread the word.....if this has been suggested before please excuse me...im new to the world.
lets make it 10th of may every year...dont think there are any other holidays on that date
exactly, it's them that have the problem so let them get in contact if they want to, if they don't then it's still them that have the problem.
Look people, banging your head against a brick wall is totally unproductive and after a while it hurts. How many people who get in touch with their families are opening themselves up to getting hurt YET AGAIN when their families continue to spurn them? Personally I couldn't care less about people that despite a genetic bond feel that their 'religious principles' are more important than family ties

I don't get it. Why would I want to contact people who think it's reasonable behaviour to shun me based on my beliefs or lack of them?
Screw them, if they want to get in touch they know where I live
no big hollywood blockbusters, no explosion fests, just good films with a decent cast and a decent script.
definitely nothing with keanu reeves and preferably something that will touch the audience rather than just wash over them.
timeframe immaterial but quality is important.
I've got Lock Stock and Snatch on DVD and they are both great films, and both fit the bill well.
I was thinking more along the lines of something with a story line that was either controversial or emotive - for instance I watched Leaving Las Vegas a couple of nights ago and was completely captivated by the story. You know, the sort of story where you care about the characters?
